An illuminating master class

John Cullen Lighting will hold a master class to give tips on illuminating areas of the home people normally leave in the dark. The class on June 15 will also give advice on how to use more energy efficient lighting.
Lead by John Cullen's Design Director Sally Storey and her bright team of designers, the class will be held at the company's London showroom, which features the latest in lighting technology.

With the new lighting regulations, known as "Part L," John Cullen said many people in England and Wales would be forced to switch off their normal bulbs in favour of more efficient ones. As part of the regulations, 75% of all light bulbs in homes must be energy efficient by 2016. So, the company will use 1watt LED lights throughout the class to illustrate how to get the same amount of light but in a more efficient way.
The evening starts at 6pm with a practical demonstration of the range of visual effects unique lighting can achieve. Then the company will turn the spotlight onto some of its projects. The evening will wrap up around 8pm after an open question and answer session.
Date: 15 June. The company plan to hold another class on 21 September.
Cost: £25, to book call the Design Secretary on 020 7371 5400
