It has been a while since I blogged about Corian - which is a surprise as I am, afterall, the world's biggest fan of Corian. I think it's the best thing ever and if they could make sliced bread from it I would eat it. Anyway, here is the Tabu chair by Nils Jeppe Hansen. He is one of the founders of DSA ARK STUDIO and exhibited this seat at the 2010 Stockholm Furniture Fair.

Tabu(ret) is short for the Danish word for stool. The shortened name also refers to the forbidden or unchallenged. In this stool DuPont™ Corian ® is used as a monolithic simple piece of furniture without any other objects. The simple design enhances the aesthetics of the material.

The stool is available in the DuPont™ Corian® colour Glacier White and can be used outdoors as well as indoors. As it is stackable it doesn't take up much room. Another cool touch is that Tabu chairs (available in both stool and barstool shapes) can be combined and tied together by gloving acrylic tubes in series of two or three. The chair is fabricated by Dansk Boligstål in Denmark.
