Aphrodite gets a makeover

Andy Barlow Interiors has designed the expansion of menswear store Aphrodite in Sunderland.

The more contemporary design for the two-story 3,000sqf store will also add a 40% increase in retail floor space and space for a new office and photo studio.

"We're looking more into texture and adding depth to this concept," Barlow said. "Our previous design at Aphrodite was very minimal and sleek. This new look picks up on that heritage but brings it firmly into the new decade with influences from Paris and Tokyo."

Aphrodite hopes to reveal the newly-designed store to be in May 2010.
