Crafty Emma Glibbery is creating some of the most collectible cushions at the moment; she reuses and recycles vintage prints to create lavish and eclectic soft furnishings. She is the pioneer behind her own website emmalovesretro and has been requested as a contributor for many other companies.

She searches every craft, charity and vintage shop around and often frequents flea markets and boot-sales to get that perfect inspiration for her designs. This committed thrift shopping has a massive impact on her cushions with bold, vibrant shapes and floral designs. Her upholstered products give that dull, bland and boring sofa the spice up it needs.

She worked as a graphic designer for 12 years, very much into drawing and painting. Creating detailed life drawings and interest in the human figure.

She started her own business three years ago. She works out of her studio in West London and loves creating new products out of something old, gaining great pleasure in seeing others love her cushions as much as she does.

Sourcing that perfect retro materials, Emma creates swinging 70s patterns, turning old, worn materials into new, loved ones.

Her patterns have an amazing nostalgic feel, even with materials over forty years old; she manages to pump in a fresh feel to her creations. They add character with swirls of bright oranges and yellows together and are now timeless classics.
