A Night at the Museum
January 29, 2010

January is already tuning into February, and with the New Year has come a flurry of invitations to must-see design events all over the world. Unfortunately, it's impossible to attend every one, but one event I'm making sure I get to is Design Overtime at the Design Museum in London.
Taking place on Friday 19 February, Design Overtime promises 'a programme packed with talks, tasks and trails devised with the requited enthusiasm of the five emerging designers that have been residing at the museum over the winter.'

Featuring new work by 'infographics and data visualisation' designer Dave Bowker, 3D/digital designer Mark Owens, multidisciplinary designer Bethan Laura Wood', 'decidedly British design collective' Farm, which has created an installation in the museum's atrium, and architecture, product, furniture and interior designer Asif Kahn, this is a great event for anyone interested in the best new design from products to graphics, and promises to be much more than just a night at the museum.

Design Overtime is at the Design Museum, Shad Thames. Tickets are £5 in advance and this includes entry to all current exhibitions. designmuseum.org
