The Interiors Group has converted an old boys school building in Primrose Hill into an office for television production company, Shine.
Primrose Studios is situated within the Primrose Hill Conservation Area and was originally constructed in 1871 as a chapel to The Boys Home Industrial School. The building comprises approximately 12,500 sq ft over ground and first floors and was completely stripped out for the project.
The brief for the main working part of the office was to create a minimal, white, clean and efficient working space.

The Interiors Group extended the new premises back and front and then teamed up with Bluebottle Design to create a modern and creative media-style environment. Enhancing architectural qualities of the building and adding an eclectic residential mix to the client facing side of the office has made for a warm welcoming.
The reception area is split into two distinct zones either side of a long reception desk with a smoked mirrored front that allows the white oiled oak flooring to continue beyond the desk in its reflection. Nearby, a 19th century French Antiques refectory table mixed with old mismatched dining chairs that acts as the main staff café as well as an informal meeting area for both internal and external meetings.
The boardroom can be split into two rooms with a sliding wall system veneered in wenge, and also features hand-painted silk Korean wallpaper. French antique side tables and large chairs in the connecting area have a willow tree wallpaper backdrop.
On the other hand, production and administration work areas have minimally-styled white system furniture with Joy task chairs. The all white furniture sets off the white oiled oak flooring and the grey painted beams high up in the chapel’s ceiling.
