Cooking up a storm

Kitchen Architecture, Europe’s largest independent designer and retailer of German kitchens Bulthaup has opened a new showroom in Putney.
Kitchen Architecture gives a different edge to each of its Bulthaup outlets and this new showroom, nestled in between family houses on the Lower Richmond road, has a very residential feel. Downstairs the b3 kitchen is cantilevered from an exposed brick wall, something not seen before and chosen to show that a Bulthaup kitchen can fit in a rustic setting too.The 3000 sq ft space also shows the most recent b1 range.
Less importantly, but it must be said, the chefs from Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck restaurant were test driving the b2 kitchen – cooking outside of the Fat Duck for the first time. 
They served up lovely servings of snail porridge and pea and ham soup to us journos. Official thumbs up from me!
