Mai-Thu Perret (2007)
Wallpapers by Artists is contemporary art on a 53cm x 10m roll of wallpaper. Production of each roll is strictly limited, and is printed and prepared in a traditional workshop. Not only does it mean you can have a contemporary art backdrop in your home, it also allows artists to hang their art from their art.

Perret used the wallpaper as the backdrop to her 2008 exhibition Land of Crystal at the Bonnefanten Museum, Maastricht. Sadly the stock of 88 rolls has now sold out.
Her second run of wallpaper was in blue, and she used it as the backdrop for her debut at SFMOMA, entitled New Work. There are still rolls of the new run available.

Many of the artists involved in the project have used their wallpapers as a backdrop for their shows, not just Perret.

Francis Baudevin Moulinsart (2008)
Francis Baudevin used his design as the backdrop to Abstraction Éntendue at Espace de l’Art Concret, Mouans-Sartoux.
Anarchist Knight by Danish artist Henrik Plenge Jakobsen is a bold combination of black and red. I think it's a bit Freddy Kreuger, to be honest, but it works well as the backdrop for the Freak Show (2007) at Musée d'Art Contemporain de Lyon.
