Studio Ooms - Solar Powered Bird House

Sometimes I hear a phrase and its cuteness simply breaks my heart. Never anything standard like, "you're the best thing that ever happened to me so I crafted a portrait of you on a pizza for you to eat" (what can I say? I'm vain and hungry), but little nuggets of words that simply make me melt inside.

Being cold of heart and mechanical of mind, I scan all data looking for a single moment where I can feel human. The moments are sparse, examples of this phenomena are rare... But some days - like today - I find a cute phrase! Celebrate!

Dutch designers Studio OOOMS have created a solar panelled birdhouse. During the day, panels on the roof use sunlight to charge a small battery which at night time causes the little external perch to glow.

(Here comes the cute bit) The designers say, "At twilight the transparent stick will light up and cast a tiny light on your garden. This light attracts an easy nighttime snack for the bird; all she has to do is stick her beak out of the hole and wait for the buzz."

I don't know why, but I find the thought of that just adorable!
